Teri Holamon, LPC-S, RPT-S, CAAPT-S, CHST, is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, Registered Play Therapist Supervisor, Certified Animal Assisted Play Therapist and Certified Humanistic Sandtray Therapist. She is a Registered Pet Partner with Delta Society and uses her therapy dogs in canine-assisted play therapy and animal assisted therapy. Mrs. Holamon also specializes in both Sand Tray Therapy and insight-oriented psychotherapy. She earned two master’s degrees from Amberton University (Professional Counseling and School Counseling) and has completed doctoral level counseling courses at Texas A&M-Commerce. Mrs. Holamon also received training in Play Therapy and AAT (Animal Assisted Therapy) at the University of North Texas. She received her bachelor’s degree in Education from Texas A&M-Commerce and is certified to teach first through eighth grades and in ESL (English as a Second Language), as well. Mrs. Holamon also specializes in counseling gifted children and adults and is a trained group facilitator for SENG (Supporting Emotional Needs of Gifted). Mrs. Holamon has worked as a school counselor and/or educator for more 14 years and has private practice offices in both Garland and Richardson, Texas. She is a member of the Association for Play Therapy, the American Counseling Association, Texas Counseling Association, Texas School Counselors Association, International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors and Association for Specialists in Group Work.
